Occupational Health and Safety

Fercon is committed to providing a working environment that is safe for all of its employees and the general public. Our policy and the management of Occupational Health & Safety is centered around the prevention of work related illnesses and injuries through the setting of high standards of health and safety. These standards will be maintained across all our project sites through the effective identification and control of hazards by both staff and subcontractors.
We are accredited to AS/NZS 4801:2001 and the processes and management plans implemented on site have been developed to meet these requirements. No member of staff or subcontractor is required or expected to place themselves or others at risk by carrying out a task which may result in or cause an injury. Nor are they required to work in an environment which they consider to be unhealthy and unsafe.

Our OHS objectives for each project include:

  • Complies with all relevant occupational health and safety legislation;
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, subcontractors and visitors;
  • Adopt a process of continuous improvement in our occupational health and safety performance
